The Coffs Harbour Learning Centre (CHLC) is a specialist school, established in 2007, to provide intensive behaviour and educational support for students. The school is located in Boambee East, Coffs Harbour. The school has an enrolment of 26 students. Approximately 25% of students have an Aboriginal background. The school has a Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) of 169 and an Index of Community Socio-educational Advantage (ICSEA) of 818.  All enrolments are based on advice provided by the regional placement panel that meets twice each term.

Coffs Harbour Learning Centre provides an inclusive learning environment and responsive programs to ensure engagement and ongoing improvement in academic, social and emotional and behaviour outcomes. The school community’s philosophy is based on building positive and restorative relationships in a nurturing and safe learning environment to allow students to achieve success.

Each student has an individual education program tailored to their needs. Students are taught positive social and emotional skills to regulate their behaviour, to allow a smooth transition back to a mainstream school, alternate educational pathways or into the workforce.
