Let Coal River Coaches show you our Tasmania - the little state with the big experiences

Coal River Coaches, and it's tourism arm Love Tasmania Tours, are ideally setup to help you plan and achieve a memorable school excursion to Tasmania.

As a coach service provider to a number of schools on Hobart’s Eastern Shore we understand the needs of teachers and their students. We understand the need to be available when required and at the same time provide flexibility when you need it. With our expertise we are able to assist in planning your special trip to Tasmania. Once you arrive, we’ll be at your service taking you to the well-known icons as well as some of the hidden gems of Tasmania.

We’ll show you some local secrets that will inspire your students, such as the Historic Roaming Theatre Show which brings Tasmania’s convict history to life. Be transported through history and stunning Tassie scenery on the rugged West Coast Wilderness Railway steam train journey. Be amazed by the construction feat of the time of this historic railway as it wraps around steep cliffs and gorges, and be immersed in the sights and sounds of hissing steam and the shrill of the whistle as the steam locomotive departs the platform.

Enjoy a ferry cruise on Autralia's highest altitude lake within the World Heritage Listed Wilderness of Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park.

We can take you to adventure playgrounds where your group can sample archery, a slingshot or try their hand at fly-fishing; explore underground caves or even swim in thermal springs. For the more adventurous groups a descent down 1271-metre Mount Wellington (Kunyani) by bicycle will get the heart racing.

If Tasmania's delicious natural produce takes your fancy, you could pick your own fruit in season. Cherries, strawberries, loganberries - the list is long.

There are a wide range of activities to suit all age groups and abilities, contact us and we will tailor an itinerary that meets the needs and delivers more than you expect for your group.

Dear Paul
Just a short note to say thank you very much for your support of our International Polar Law Symposium last week and the transfer of delegates to Government House.
Normally, this would be just a straight-forward matter of to and from. But I think that what you offered us on this first event of the gathering was comfort, guidance and interaction with our interstate and international visitors, and I would ask you to pass on our appreciation to your coach drivers.
I'm not sure when our next event will occur but your company will be the first contact I make to arrange event transport. Thank you again Paul.
Best regards
Craig Macaulay
