Chandler Public School is a small school located on the outskirts of Wollomombi, 40 km east of Armidale, with a current enrolment of 8 students. The school, with its beautiful gardens and extensive play areas, is surrounded by scenic country side, with the Wollomombi River to the west, the Chandler River to the east and the Wollomombi gorge with its spectacular waterfalls to the south.

The 2021 – 2024 Strategic Improvement Plan clearly identifies two strategic directions – SD 1: Student Growth and Attainment and SD 2: Connect, Succeed, Thrive and Learn.

Chandler Public School is part of the collaborative Snow Gums Learning Alliance including Bald Blair Public School, Black Mountain Public School, Ben Lomond Public School and Ebor Public School. The Alliance is focused on strengthening teaching and learning across the five schools. Students have access to state-of-the-art technology and the school runs a comprehensive STEAM Program including robotics and coding, digital technology focus, competing in First Lego League events promoting teamwork, design, participation, innovation and global connections.  Chandler Public School is part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. The school has wonderful kitchen facilities with vegetable gardens supplying fresh produce.
