Casula Public School has an enrolment of 910 students including 77% from non-English speaking backgrounds and 2% Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. The school is located in South West Sydney, an area experiencing significant growth.
A rich positive learning environment is provided by both experienced and early career teachers. A focus on highly effective English, mathematics, creative/ performing arts and STEM results in outstanding student achievement. Casula PS has an Opportunity Class and we offer a range of early intervention and enrichment programs. Student wellbeing is the key to academic, cultural, social and emotional wellbeing. We focus on Positive Behaviour for Learning to develop self-regulated learners.
An ongoing focus of the school is how students learn through creativity, collaboration, critical reflection and communication (4C’s). This practice overarches and underpins all teaching and learning in our school. Student voice is actively taught, fostered and heard. A strong ethos of inclusion, teamwork and high expectation of self and others is promoted.
Partnerships in learning continue to grow as our community engages in forums and educational decision making. The school has a very committed and hard-working P&C with membership on the increase.
