Casuarina School was established in 2002 and is part of a number of specialist schools and learning centres across New South Wales that provides intensive educational and behavioural support for students. The school is located in Riverstone and has an enrolment of 49 students, including 14% Aboriginal students. Casuarina School consists of 7 classes with students from Year 5 to Year 10.
Co-operation and collaboration between the three stakeholders is a feature of this setting. Casuarina School provides a safe learning environment, which celebrates student’s strengths. Our goal is to facilitate the development of resilience, life skills, communication skills and social understanding through innovative learning practices.
