Cardiff High School is a comprehensive, co–educational secondary school located in the City of Lake Macquarie. The school draws its enrolments from the Cardiff, GardenSuburb, Hillsborough and Macquarie Hills Communities. The school offers a quality academic, vocational and student wellbeing curriculum to accommodate all students and believes that students have the right to a personalised education where all pathways of learning are equally valued.

Cardiff High School promotes respect, responsibility, acceptance and optimism within a caring and positive learning environment. In 2019, Cardiff High School recorded 677 student enrolments, including 79 Aboriginal students. The school curriculum caters for a wide variety of interests and needs, with a growing number of students accessing tertiary study and local–industry post–school pathways. The school is focused on improving student academic outcomes through key programs including the Enrichment Class, QuickSmart Literacy and Numeracy, MultiLit, High Achievers, and the Bump it Up strategy.  Cardiff High School is a dynamic school community that is committed to its continuous improvement and achieves excellence through an extensive range of academic, sporting, cultural and community programs.

The staff aim to know all of our students both as learners and as young people and to develop strong learning partnerships between parents, students and our school. Cardiff High School empowers all students and staff to achieve their personal best.
