Captains Flat Public School is an inclusive rural school with
a current population of 44 students including 14% of the
students who identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
descent. The school is a focal point of the historic village of Captains
Flat in the Southern Tablelands of rural NSW and located in close proximity to
Canberra and Queanbeyan. Situated in a bushland setting, the school is equipped
with excellent facilities and modern technology and strives for excellence,
innovation and success within a caring community.
The school places a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy
and is supported by an Instructional Leader as part of the Early Action for
Success strategy. The school takes pride in the provision of a broad base
curriculum and a range of extra curricula programs ensuring that students have
opportunities to participate in areas of individual interest and talent.
The cornerstones of 21st century
learning are emerging across all curriculum areas with technology at the
forefront. We are commitment to each studentâs development of core academic
knowledge and their ability to apply their knowledge and skills with
flexibility and creativity to become lifelong self-directed learners. The

The successful applicant will commence at Captains Flat
Public School at the beginning of 2020.
