Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy

The Cape York Academy is part of the Good to Great Schools Australia network and the premier showcase of their comprehensive 5C education reform model. The Academy provides literacy and numeracy lessons through a Direct Instruction model as well as delivering a unique Club and Culture program under the Australian Curriculum. The Academy operates two state primary schools in Coen and Hope Vale through a unique partnership with Education Queensland. Our vision is to deliver ‘best of both worlds’ educational opportunities to the students to support their bicultural identity while preparing them to succeed in high quality secondary boarding school.
