Campsie Public School is situated in the central business district of the city of Canterbury. Campsie Public School serves a diverse multicultural community of 700 students where 97% of students are from a language background other than English. At Campsie Public School we provide high quality education in a supportive environment so that each child is able to function and succeed in a changing and challenging world. At Campsie Public School we recognise and value that students learn at different paces. We have five enrichment classes from year 2 to year 6. Students in these classes are challenged in their thinking, extended in all aspects of their development resulting in significant numbers receiving offers of either Opportunity Classes or selective High School Placements. NAPLAN data highlights the outstanding progress of our students from Year 3 to Year 5. Campsie School pursues excellence in every aspect of our curricular and extra-curricular program. Our students have many opportunities to develop and extend their skills. These opportunities include participation in PSSA sports, swimming and ice-skating, Tournament of the Minds, public speaking and debating and a comprehensive performing arts program including school band, drumming and dance groups and choir. We are also participating in the Sydney Opera House Creative Leadership in Learning program. Campsie Public School is one of four Bilingual Schools in NSW, and the only Korean Bilingual School. Students in the Korean Bilingual Program participate in one hour of curriculum instruction delivered in Korean per day. The school highly values languages education and supports the Korean Bilingual Program with an additional 7 languages available for study as either a Community Language (for background speakers) or as a LOTE (Language Other than English).

Campsie Public School exemplifies that 'every child and young person is known, valued and cared for', in line with the Department of Education's 2018–2022 Strategic Plan. We develop school programs where students are at the centre of future focused learning. All community members embrace different cultures and languages through high quality pedagogical practices. This aligns with our school motto of 'Learning Together For Life' and our school crest of ‘Character Alone Ennobles'.
