Brewarrina Central School, which is located 800kms north west of Sydney, caters for 150 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. 98 % of students identify as Aboriginal. The school provides a quality education in a caring and supportive environment. There is an ongoing commitment to supporting students' Literacy and Numeracy development and involvement in STEM. All staff are involved in professional and personal development to improve the learning outcomes for students. There is a strong focus on the development of a high expectations and learning culture, building school leadership capacity and the establishment of cohesive community partnerships for learning and culture. There is a strengthening school/ community partnership which is underpinned by the Connected Communities Strategy and supported by the SRG (School Reference Group) and AECG(Aboriginal Education Consultative Group).
