Bourke Walgett School of Distance Education is a Kindergarten to Year 6 distance education school. Our students are primarily geographically isolated, however, enrolments may also include students with additional support needs, travelling around Australia and extraordinary circumstances. Geographically isolated students participate in the Satellite Education Program complementing traditional paper-based learning materials, field services, and interactive technologies. Our school is a split site school with campuses in Bourke and Walgett. At Bourke Walgett School of Distance Education, we strive to provide high quality educational experiences where every student should be challenged to learn in an inclusive, respectful and engaging environment. The school has a strong focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, collaborative teaching and socialisation programs. This position will involve a willingness to lead and manage some whole school initiatives, including extracurricular activities and sports. As well as a willingness to travel between worksites and on field services. The successful applicant will be based at Bourke Campus.
