Does my child need money at camp?
Sending your child to camp with large sums of money isn’t necessary as all cost are included in their activities and would have been paid before arriving. Please note: when they are at Scenic World, Bathurst Goldfields, Echo Point Three Sisters etc, some children may want to purchase a small souvenir. We suggest no more that $25.
What is the weather like at the BMC site? What clothes should be packed for camp?
BMC is located in the pristine Blue Mountains which, whilst very beautiful, can also be very cold in the cooler months. If you are coming to visit us during winter, we suggest you bring warm gear, such as jumpers, long pants, thermal underwear and long sleeved shirts. During the warmer months, shorts and short-sleeved t-shirts are appropriate. Guests should always bring sunscreen and sun hat or cap. We also recommend some old clothes that you don't mind getting muddy.
Should my child bring a mobile phone or iPad etc., to camp?
We won’t be responsible for them and feel they take away from the camp experience… We DO NOT allow any
electronic devices, due to the likelihood of inappropriate content in music or video… Including mobile phones or pagers.
How do I communicate with my child at camp?
Campers are not permitted to receive phone calls at camp. The only exception is a family emergency or birthday. Parents are welcome to call the teacher or camp host whenever they wish. We don’t limit this type of contact to upset anyone, but rather to embrace the BMC values.
What are the BMC values?
