Black Springs Public School is located in the Central Tablelands area of New South Wales, 63 kilometres from the city of Bathurst and 23 kilometres from the nearest township of Oberon. The school is committed to providing educational excellence for all students who are drawn from diverse backgrounds within the small locality of Black Springs and surrounding rural and remote areas. 

The school comprises one multi-age class of 6 students in 2025. Teachers are committed to utilising high-impact, differentiated teaching strategies and ongoing formative and summative assessments to ensure each child has their individual learning goals identified and met. Black Springs Public School is recognised for its positive learning environment where staff collaborate and consistently set high expectations for students' learning.
