BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is located just 4km from the town centre of Airlie Beach. Access to conveniences is within walking distance, including the largest shopping centre in the region, which is just a short stroll from the resort. All day touring options will conveniently collect you from the front of the resort and transfers for offsite activities can be easily arranged.
The mainland Whitsundays can be easily accessed by Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine, as well as the Great Barrier Reef Airport at Hamilton Island. Whitsunday Coast Airport has direct daily flights from Brisbane with Jetstar and Virgin Australia, and direct flights from Sydney three times a week with Tigerair. Coach transfers are available from Whitsunday Coast Airport directly to BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort.
Great Barrier Reef Airport has direct flights from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns with Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Qantas and Qantaslink. Ferry transfers can be organised from Hamilton Island to Abell Point Marina, with a connecting coach transfer from the marina to BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort.
If travelling by road, BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort is located on Shute Harbour Rd, Cannonvale. Turn off the Bruce Highway at Proserpine and upon arrival into Cannonvale, pass Centro Whitsunday on the left before arriving at BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort.
BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort has a team of 30 staff, including a dedicated Groups and Events Co-ordinator who is available to assist in all your school group camp and excursion requirements.
BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort has been owned and operated by the McKinnon family since 1993. The property was purchased as a run-down but operational caravan park and since then has seen a phenomenal transformation to the 4.5 star multi-award winning resort that it is today.
Everything guests experience, from the 45 self-contained cabins to the landscaped sites, resort-style pool, waterslides, mini-golf and even the outdoor cinema, have been projects developed by the McKinnon family, with the goal to create a resort-style tourist park that is a destination in its own right.
