Belmore North Public School serves a vibrant multicultural community and has a total enrolment of 303 students including 88% students from a language background other than English. The school receives equity funding to support students from low socio-economic backgrounds and non-English speaking backgrounds. A support unit of 5 classes provides additional learning support for students with autism with and/or without intellectual disability. Students K-2 are supported with instructional leaders employed under the EAFS program. English and Mathematics pedagogy is a strong focus and explicit instruction is implemented for these KLAs. The implementation of other KLAs provides scope for alternative instructional approaches to be implemented. All teachers in the school work collaboratively to help each student achieve his or her fullest potential. The Annual Report 2018 and current School Plan can be accessed on the school website: www.belmorenth-p.schools.nsw.edu.au.
