Belmont Public School is situated on Awabakal land on the eastern shores of Lake Macquarie. The school has 298 students, including 45 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, across 13 mainstream and 1 educational support class.

Our school provides a dynamic and caring educational environment for all students with a wide and varied range of educational and wellbeing programs to challenge, support, engage and nurture students in their learning and social emotional development.

The dedicated staff are a mix of highly experienced and beginning teachers, who strive for continual improvement and have a strong commitment to data informed practice, collaboration and reflection, and a focus on personalised learning to support student growth and achievement.

The school prides itself on being warm, welcoming and friendly. Students and staff enjoy an attractive, well maintained physical environment with well resourced learning spaces and large, open areas for sport and play.  We have a strong commitment to working closely with students, parents and carers, the P&C, Belmont Community of Schools, Minimbah AECG, preschools, external agencies and the local community to provide enrichment, cultural opportunities and enhance learning experiences for all students.
