Barraba Central School, K-12 is situated in the small town of Barraba in the North West of NSW. The town is a strong and proud rural community with very good amenities and facilities.
The school is located across a split-site and has an enrolment of 164, 68 in the Secondary and 96 in the Primary. 39 students identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
The school has a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy teaching and good quality teaching and learning programs across the K-12 range. Early Action for Success has been implemented and an Instructional Leader is employed in the primary department. There is a strong commitment to Positive Behaviour for Learning and the core values of Safe, Respectful, Learner.
The dedicated staff look for opportunities to assist the students to grow and succeed. There is a strong focus on well-being programs K-12 and there is an expectation that the use of data to enhance teaching and learning and quality systems be supported.
