Barkers Vale Public School is located 40 kilometres from Lismore and 55 kilometres from Murwillumbah. The school is situated on the scenic plateau of the North Coast Tablelands, within the Kyogle Shire.
Established in 1933 the school has been relocated to its current site and has unique buildings featuring stone walls and a yurt.
The school consists of 2 multistage classes, K-2 and 3-6. The current enrolment is 29 students, including 21% Aboriginal and 24% multicultural enrolments.
