Arncliffe Public School has an enrolment of 400 students including 72% from an English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) background. The school is situated south of the Cook’s River in the Sydney suburb of Arncliffe. The school has a long heritage with the area, being established in 1861. The school provides an aesthetic and nurturing educational environment in which all students can access quality educational programs. Students are organised into 17 classes from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school provides education for a broad range of students from a multitude of backgrounds and has a strong, English as an Additional Language/Dialect and New Arrivals program.

Arncliffe Public School has a highly dedicated and collaborative staff that is committed to ongoing professional learning, ensuring best practice in curriculum delivery with access to engaging and relevant technologies. All teaching spaces have interactive technology and flexible furniture. Arncliffe Public School runs a number of extracurricular programs including training and concert band, recorders, string ensembles, junior music group, junior, middle and senior choirs, Art After School, Chess and Debating and prides itself on its extensive history of excellence in participation and achievement across many and varied academic, cultural and sporting programs. Our Drama program affords the opportunity for students to self-express in weekly lessons, dance and Wakakirri. The school offers Arabic as a Community Language. A suite of Wellbeing programs supports the social and emotional development of our students and parents.

We have an extremely motivated and supportive Parents/Carers and Citizens Committee. Together, as a community, we strive to educate students to become responsible, respectful and resilient learners.
