Arcadia
Vale Public School is a small school on the western shores of Lake Macquarie
serving the Arcadia Vale community. Currently, we have 125 students, with an
approximate equal number of boys and girls. Approximately 11% of our students
identify as being ATSI.
Our school
has six permanent teacher positions including two executive positions and four
classroom teachers. We also have a Multi-Categorical class which was
established this year. We have various part time specialist support teachers
and support staff. Our Family Occupation and Education Index is 126.
We are
proud members of the Toronto Learning Community comprising of seven public
primary schools and our local high school. We enjoy strong community
partnership and are striving to work closely with our parents and carers in our
core business of teaching and learning.
Our school
implements the evidence based pedagogy, Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) to
support the development of Literacy and Numeracy knowledge, skills and
understanding for all students, effectively differentiating at all levels. We
work collaboratively as a whole school community who aspires for high levels of
excellence, achievement and wellbeing in an inclusive environment.
