Appin Public School is situated in the small town of Appin close to and south east of Campbelltown and has a total enrolment of 340 students from K to Year 6 with 8% of students from a language background other than English and 6% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The school continues to build on quality teaching, learning and leadership practices, with commitment to continually improving student achievement. Appin Public School is an integral part of the local community with positive, harmonious relationships between students, staff and community highly visible.
The school has been a part of the Early Action for Success initiative for six years, with an Instructional Leader supporting quality numeracy and literacy practices within the early years, including Language Learning and Literacy (L3) and Teaching Early Numeracy (TEN). Appin Public School has a focus on equipping all students with skills of creativity, collaboration, problem solving, skilled articulation, knowledge construction and technology for their rapidly changing world.
