Lisa has a Bachelor of Education with Honours degree and has been a teacher in Tasmanian schools for almost 20 years. She has worked in low socioeconomic schools and has a passion for working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, instilling within them the capacity to change their lives. As a survivor of developmental abuse, Lisa has a unique understanding of the effects of trauma. She has been learning about the effects of childhood trauma on the body and mind for two decades. Lisa knows that children of trauma can change their lives through education, because she did exactly that.
