St Kevin's College deputy head Janet Canny has been stood down following allegations she responded inappropriately to a teacher's complaints about further child-grooming allegations.

Melbourne's St Kevin's College will undergo more scrutiny after a teacher said she was mistreated.

Edmund Rice Education Australia confirmed on Thursday that Canny had been removed from her position.
