On the afternoon of August 12, the Independent Education Union (which represents more than 33,000 school staff in the non-government sector) convened a special meeting of representatives in independent schools across the greater Sydney area.
Schools are already operating under detailed guidelines that apply to all school sectors, government and non-government, and the IEU does not support independent schools being able to develop their own approach.
