2022 NAPLAN results ‘better than expected’

NAPLAN results have remained fairly stable from 2021 to 2022 – again defying predictions that COVID lockdowns would drive performance down dramatically.

An upwards trend in students' writing results, first observed in 2019, has continued.

There was a decline in Year 5 numeracy and Year 9 spelling, but results were otherwise steady overall.
