Job Description - Primary Teacher (Year 3/4)

Location: Farnworth Start Date: Immediate - July Contract: Full-time

We are seeking a passionate and committed Primary School Teacher to take responsibility for a Year 3/4 class in a welcoming and diverse school in Farnworth. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and motivated to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to foster trust, respect, and enthusiasm for learning
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse classroom, including pupils with SEN and EAL
  • Promote active participation and maintain high levels of pupil engagement
  • Assess and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback to support development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
  • Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 3 or Year 4
  • Strong classroom management and ability to create a positive learning atmosphere
  • Understanding of inclusive practices and strategies for supporting SEN and EAL learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferable Experience
  • Previous experience in a diverse, multicultural school setting
  • Training or experience in SEN support and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to use creative approaches to engage pupils and raise attainment
