Are you experienced in school caretaking or site management and looking for a flexible, ongoing role? Veritas Education is recruiting Caretakers, Assistant Caretakers, and Site Managers for temporary assignments in schools across Bradford, West Yorkshire.

What we offer

  • Full-time hours: Monday to Friday between 6am - 6pm - shift based

    • Roles and Responsibilities

    Assistant Caretaker

  • Supporting the main caretaker with daily site duties
  • Unlocking and locking the school premises
  • Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Assisting with cleaning and ensuring health & safety standards

    • Caretaker

  • Responsible for the security and safety of the school site
  • Performing general maintenance and minor repairs
  • Managing deliveries and stock of cleaning/maintenance supplies
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Liaising with contractors for larger repairs

    • Site Manager

  • Overseeing the entire school site and facilities management
  • Planning and supervising maintenance schedules
  • Managing budgets for site-related expenses
  • Coordinating contractors and ensuring work meets compliance standards
  • Leading a team of caretakers and cleaning staff

    • What we're looking for

  • Previous school caretaking experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Candidates on the Update Service preferred, but we welcome applicants willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check

  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have legal right to work in the UK
  • You must be willing to attend a registration interview
