Position Information

Nuwarra Public School opened in 1974 and has over 500 students currently enrolled. Included in this number are 18 mainstream and 8 Special Education Classes (5 Hearing Support and 3 Autism Mild/Moderate intellectual disability). It is situated in the Chipping Norton Network within the suburb of Moorebank, New South Wales.

Specific Selection Criteria
  1. Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
  2.  Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to support assessment for learning of their students with additional educational needs and identify specific learning and support needs.
  3.  Proven ability to plan, implement, model, monitor and evaluate personalised adjustments for learning (including high potential and gifted education (HPGE), students with learning, behaviour difficulties and EAL/D students) with the classroom teacher, student and parent or carer.

 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
