We are seeking an experienced person to manage the day-to-day operation of the school tuckshop including opening and set-up of the tuckshop, preparation of food and food orders.
You will:
- Support special event days and catering requests for school functions which includes setting up and packing away.
- Prepare menus which actively support health food programs.
- Ensure food is prepared and stored in accordance with correct food handling and hygiene procedures and guidelines and assist with managing goods and supplies including the rotation of stock.
- Maintain adequate stock levels to meet daily and weekly menu requirements including the ordering, receiving, storing and inventory of stock.
- Coordinate the daily cleaning and clean-up of kitchen and storage areas to ensure high standards of food hygiene.
- Select and use appropriate techniques and cleaning agents for the cleaning of facilities and cooking utensils.
- Monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program for example, recording temperatures.
- Supervise, coordinate and support volunteers and staff in the tuckshop and storage area
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
