About the Department:

About the Role:
The Senior Finance Business Partner works directly with schools and will:
- Support the development and delivery of financial management training material to support schools.
- Assist with the development and communication of school accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
The position is a key contact for schools in terms of financial policy and procedures. This requires an understanding of financial management practices affecting schools and involves:
- Undertaking analysis of financial management practices and financial performance of schools.
- Providing financial management advice to school based staff.
- Monitoring the level of financial management competencies within schools.
- Providing appropriate training and development programs to enhance financial management skills.
- Working effectively in a team environment
About You:
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Sound knowledge of contemporary financial management issues and strategies impacting schools.
- Ability to interrogate and analyse school financial management systems - Agresso and OneSchool Finance.
- Ability to deliver training programs relating to school financial management, including in an online format.
- High level communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to influence customer behaviour and implement change.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate to achieving outcomes within negotiated timeframes.
