About The Team:
The ICT Infrastructure Team delivers critical third-level server support and datacentre resources for both schools and corporate. Our expertise covers a range of technical disciplines:
- Data centre management, including the provisioning and operation of compute resources, enterprise storage, and core services.
- Thorough knowledge and management of Windows and Linux-based server environments, and virtualisation technologies like VMWare ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Ensuring reliable operation and support for enterprise-grade backup solutions, safeguarding data across our service portfolio.
Across all facets of our work, we employ ITIL methodologies to ensure best practices in incident, problem, and change management, upholding the highest standards of service delivery and operational efficiency.
About the Role:
As the Senior Computer Systems Officer, you will provide high level technical expertise for the development, implementation and support of information technology infrastructure and processes in the complex and diverse operating environment of the department.
Responsibilities include:
- Management and support of corporate file server services.
- Oversight, operation and troubleshooting of backup systems.
- Advanced troubleshooting and third-level support for school and corporate servers.
- The role requires proficiency with Windows Server technologies, VMWare, HyperV, and an understanding of managing virtual machine environments.

- Solid experience in troubleshooting and systems support.

- Clear and concise communication of technical information to a technical audience.
- This individual will play a crucial role in advancing our core server and school support services.
