  • Veritas Education is working with a high achieving secondary school in North London that requires a passionate Drama to start from this April - or sooner.

    The role is at a successful 11-19 mixed school, located in Islington. The school have consistently achieved excellent results both at GCSE and at A-Level and are looking for committed teachers who are keen to progress in their career.

    We are looking for a confident teacher who can plan and teach Drama lessons to students of KS3-KS4, that follow the agreed departmental schemes of work and teaching guidelines. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to make a difference to the lives of young people. The post holder will join a friendly and supportive team which strives to ensure that all students enjoy their learning and surpass expectations of achievement.

    Drama is a very popular subject at the school in both GCSE and A level. They have fantastic facilities and are proud tradition of extra-curricular performance. Recently the school has a new Drama studio built. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post is subject to a DBS enhanced disclosure check.

    The successful candidate must:

    - Be a qualified Drama Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).

    - Demonstrate recent experience as a Drama Teacher

    - Confident to teach Drama up to KS4

    - Have a proven track record of raising and maintaining attainment levels

    - Able to lead by example, whilst being highly motivated

    - Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behavior management strategies
