We are seeking a registered or enrolled nurse suitably qualified to join our team.
This is a permanent fulltime position, commencing Term 1, 2025. The successful applicant will provide medical assistance and care to our students and staff at New Hope Christian School, and the opportunity for job sharing may be available for the right candidate.
New Hope Christian School is a special school providing Christian Education for students with a mild to moderate level of intellectual delay or Autism in Kindergarten to Year 12. This co-educational Christian learning community is committed to developing and nurturing its students. New Hope Christian School is located within the grounds of Pacific Hills Christian School and is a part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. Each student is unique, and we aim to develop the full potential in each individual by providing a mixture of individualised and small group instruction and support. New Hope Christian School has a clear vision to honour Christ in all its programs and practices. Desired Skills and Experience
The successful applicant must have:
- Nursing qualifications
- Experience in paediatric and adolescent health and wellbeing is desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively care for students and colleagues
- Ability to work well in a busy environment, approachable, and friendly
- Excellent time management, organisational, and record management skills
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the administration of medication
- Assist with the care management of students with special medical needs
- Participate in the management of critical incidents
- Manage the School’s first aid equipment and oversee the Sick Bay facility
- Ensure medical records are accurate
- Assist with office administration tasks
