About the Role
Runcorn State High School is seeking a proactive and experienced Marketing Officer to lead and manage our school's marketing portfolio. In this role, you will develop and execute marketing initiatives, coordinate school events, and promote the school to key stakeholders, enhancing our community presence and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with the school's goals.
- Design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, to effectively promote the school and its events.
- Create engaging video content for student assemblies, showcasing school events, achievements, and important announcements.
- Utilise spreadsheets to manage and analyse data, including award recipient information for key school events, ensuring data accuracy, organisation, and efficient reporting for event preparation.
- Manage and update the school's social media accounts, ensuring consistent, engaging, and relevant content to enhance community engagement and school promotion.
- Manage the school's enquiries inbox, responding to and directing queries efficiently to maintain clear and timely communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate school events and manage communication materials (newsletters, diaries, sponsorships).
- Build relationships with industry, business, and community stakeholders.
- Manage marketing budget, expenditure, and identify alternative income streams.
- Produce high-quality promotional content across digital and print channels.
- Assist with event logistics, including catering coordination.
Must-have Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role.
- Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing, analysing, and reporting data related to school events and other key initiatives.
- Event management experience.
- Budget management and ability to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice-to-have Skills and Experience:
- Experience in an educational setting or working with schools.
- Familiarity with multi-channel marketing strategies, including digital marketing.
