Headteacher
Veritas Education are working with a registered school in Imperial Wharf looking for a headteacher to start in the new year that provides high-quality education and behavioural therapy in their Ofsted-registered Centre and School for children with autism & developmental delays. In addition to their site-based education and therapy, they provide a small number of Outreach Services, to local maintained schools, and autism spectrum disorder bases.
Joining this school as the Headteacher, you'll be pivotal in steering all facets of school and early years operations alongside the General Manager, from shaping curriculum design to ensuring governance and compliance. Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating the schools and nursery's performance to meet the highest standards of excellence. Collaborating closely with the Clinical Director and senior leadership team, you'll champion an inclusive environment that fosters continuous improvement and innovation. The Head Teacher will be named as Principal with Ofsted/DfE for the School and the Named Registered Managers with Ofsted for the Early Years provision. We're looking for a leader who embodies flexibility, agility, and a readiness to embrace new approaches. Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), Independent School Standards (ISS) and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) are essential and either a NASENCo or NPQSENCO qualification would be advantageous.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF HEADTEACHER
* Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Senior Team to develop and implement strategic plans that drive the school's performance.* Foster an inclusive school culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and academic excellence. * Assist in developing and executing an innovative, engaging curriculum that meets the needs of our pupils.* Ensure the curriculum is delivered in line with short-term-long term planning guides* Collaborate with the clinical team to implement essential curricular content effectively. * Monitoring of teaching and learning, including lesson observations, feedback and mentoring.* Pupil progress tracking and reporting, in line with EHCP's and school expectations.* Holding staff to account for outcomes.
