Notre Dame College is a new Brisbane Catholic Education College on the Sunshine Coast, proposed to open in 2025.

The College will provide a high-quality Catholic education for families in the Aura and Caloundra community for Prep to Year 12. Located in Aura Stockland, Bells Creek, the College will be co-educational and is master planned for 1,836 students when all stages of development are completed. The College is within the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Caloundra and the College’s spirituality will be enlivened through the Marist charism.

Foundation Facilities and Grounds Officer

Notre Dame College is seeking a dedicated and reliable Foundation Facilities and Grounds Officer to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the college grounds and facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance, handyman, and mechanical tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety practices.
  • Work independently and as part of a team under the direction of the Business Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Basic handyman, maintenance, and mechanical skills.
  • Awareness of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Construction induction white card.
  • ACDC chemical licence.
  • Working with children blue card or the ability to obtain one.
  • Reliable transport (Monday to Friday).

Desirable Attributes:

  • Trade background in carpentry.
  • Tractor driving skills.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: Monday, January 13, 2025
  • Tenure: Continuing
  • Weeks Worked: Up to 52 weeks per year, including school holidays
  • Hours: 38 hours per week, 7.6 hours per day
  • Salary: Services Staff Level 4 - $35.9079 per hour
  • Employment Conditions: Catholic Employers Single Enterprise Collective Agreement – Diocesan Schools of Queensland 2023-2026

Additional Information: This position involves working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with the law.
