Sunnybank State Special School provides individualised education programs for students with disabilities, both on the school campus and in community settings.
These programs aim to develop each student's skills and abilities in independent living, academic and work skills and foster their functioning as a valued member of the community.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.

The Perfect Fit:
- A caring and dedicated school leader, with a good knowledge of AC9 / differentiated teaching strategies.
- Someone who understands the importance of Behaviour and what it communicates, good knowledge of AAC and OY strategies.
- A self-starter, confident to learn new processes and work to timelines.
- Independent learner and someone who can work with others to effect change.
- Someone who can work alongside all types of people, of all different faiths and languages.
