Villawood East
Public School is a P-6 school located in the south western suburbs of Sydney.
The current enrollment is 257. The school has an onsite preschool, 10 mainstream
classes and a support unit made up of three support classes. In addition to a
diverse learning population Villawood East caters for students from diverse
cultural backgrounds with 91% of families from language backgrounds other than
English and 5% who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
The preschool is rated overall at exceeding National Quality Standards. It has a strong focus on transition to school and is heavily involved in whole school initiatives throughout the school year. Villawood East is part of the Early Action for Success strategy with a strong emphasis on early intervention.
The school has an inclusive and
supportive environment with a dedicated and committed staff. The school's
values of Safe, Respectful Learners are explicitly taught and reinforced. At
Villawood East we aim to create high quality educational environment to enable
all students to be engaged, successful, lifelong learners.
Our school fosters
and values quality relationships both within the school and wider community. A
Community Hub supported by a community hub leader works closely with the
parents, external agencies and school staff to support parent engagement in
school. The school has an established Parents and Citizens’ Association which
also support school programs.
