Mount View High School, a member of the Cessnock Community of Great Public Schools (CCGPS), is a co-educational school delivering excellence in student education, innovation in our learning practices and success in a modern high school setting. We currently have a student enrolment of approximately 950 students which includes 134 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

We have high expectations of students, consistent with each student’s ability and the belief that all students can achieve their personal best. The school offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that provides the benefits of specialist schools in a comprehensive high school environment.
Mount View High School is committed to introducing and adopting positive education principles into our school through the “5 Ways to Wellbeing” framework. A BYOD policy is in place that is largely supported by the identification, coordination and provision of additional hardware to support ICT integration into teaching and learning. The school has a Support faculty consisting of two multi-categorical classes and one ED class.
