Hayes Park Public School

Hayes Park Public School serves a growing community in suburban Dapto on the western foreshores of Lake Illawarra. The school's enrolment has been steadily increasing and is now at around 561 students, which is up from 548 in 2017. Our students are placed in 22 mainstream classes, and an IO support class. Our students reflect a changing demographic with 9% coming from an NESB and 9% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. 67% of our families are recognised by the Department as coming from a low SES background.

The culture and climate of the school is characterised by a strong sense of pride, collaborative decision making, based on open communication, and a strong commitment to working as a supportive, cohesive team.
