‘We need to bite the bullet’: Controversial suspension policy delayed by a term
A divisive new behaviour policy that halves the length of suspensions in NSW schools and makes it tougher for principals to give them out has been delayed until the start of Term 3.
“We have too many vulnerable children being suspended in our schools, the evidence is overwhelming on that,” Ruth Owen from the NSW Department of Education, said.
